Mahogany glazing technique

I'm still working out my video edit problems, but wanted to get another post out. So forgive the rudimentary editing job in advance. I recently did the final glazing step in the mahogany wine cabinet finish, and recorded the application on the drop-front panel. The idea is to antique the finish to somewhat match the actual antiques in my dining room where this will eventually live. After some research, I learned that asphaltum (or asphault tar) is the secret ingredient many cabinet shops use. Plus, after all that hard work building this piece, why not slop on a coat of roofing tar for kicks? Enjoy.
